Welcome to Olympic Village Exodus Community since 1998

The Olympic Village Exodus Community has been present in the Olympic Village, Heidelberg West since 1998, attempting to meet identified emerging needs of local residents. The Community began at the invitation of the parish priest of St Pius X, Heidelberg West.

Currently, the live-in members of the Exodus Community are two Marist Brothers, Harry Prout and Doug Walsh. They volunteer their services to the Community and its ministries. Liz Wake is a Marist Association member who works as Program Coordinator 3 days a week. Central to the ministries of the Community is inclusion of local people in all aspects of work. Exodus Community is currently supported by around 50 volunteers. Exodus collaborates with many other local organizations in its ministry.

Where possible, Exodus ministries and works are conducted in Teams of volunteers thereby supporting, teaching and encouraging each other.
